印章套色教學 Two Step Stamping Tutorial - Vintage Japanese Matchbox Label

當版畫技術傳到日本後，不得不佩服他們很會運用雙色以上的搭配技巧。早期日本火柴盒設計形形色色，圖案都非常有意思；有一系列是正紅色的標籤，非常顯眼，而我這次選的圖案主角是青蛙大使。
The block print was started from China, and it's somehow transferred to Japan. I can't deny that they use well with various colors combination. Vintage Japanese matchbox labels were with interesting images. There's a vermeil set label. I chose the frog ambassador.

這圖案唯一麻煩的地方是身上那斑斑點點，描圖時就已感到煩躁，搬上橡皮後，更是麻煩；所幸圖案的好處就是可以隨心所意地改變斑點位置，且並不會影響整體感。
The troublesome matter of this stamp is spots. I was kind of impatient when I transferred this image to tracing paper. But it's more annoying when I carved it on rubber stamp. Fortunately, I could change the spots place and it won't change the whole image. 


沒套上顏色感覺戲劇張力不夠。 Without the background, it's no intensity.

從零開始的擺攤心得 My Experience of Creative Fair

平常以路人身份去逛市集，並沒有特別注意擺設技巧的巧妙，但當自己開始擺攤後，才發現裡頭有著深奧的學問。未曾經歷或體驗過擺攤技巧的我，就這樣毫無畏懼地跑去台北擺攤，開啓我第一次擺攤之旅；在沒有足夠時間的規劃下，只做了一個盒子，九成的明信片都只能平面擺在桌上，加上全白色的布巾當背景，整個場面平淡無奇，能有顧客上門真是奇蹟！當天擺攤也順便逛了其他攤位，發現大家都是精心佈置，真是令我羞愧不已。

I didn't use to pay attention to craft display when I went to creative fair, but now I start to sell my handcraft, I notice craft display is very important. Without any experience about having a stand at creative fair, I  bravely started my first craft fair journey in Taipei. Didn't have enough time to plan, so I only made a box for displaying 6 postcards. Most of postcards were display on table with the white  fabric as the background. That was too prosaic, and it was a miracle that I sold out some postcards. I checked around other stands, they all had nice display idea except me.

幾個月前的某一天，在網路上得知手手市集，便非常興奮地寄出報名表；審核期間每天都在祈禱一定要入選，就在收到入選通知的那一剎那，整個歡天喜地的通知親朋好友。經過第一次擺攤的洗禮後，這一次我可是購入不少擺設裝飾，且在家先模擬擺攤陳設，時不時去外面商店參考大家的陳列方式。

ASL Rubber Stamps

終於趕在市集前完成26個手語字母章，這些是美國手語，各國手語比法皆有不同，就像我們口語說話的語言一樣，各國都有自己專屬的手語。
Finished American sign language(ASL) alphabet rubber stamps. There are 26 letters which are with their houses.
